Infant found in Fredericksburg tests positive for cocaine

A 6-month-old girl who was found alone in a Stafford County motel room earlier this week has tested positive for cocaine, Fredericksburg.com reports.
The young girl was originally found inside a Motel 6 on Warrenton Road in Fredericksburg on Tuesday night. She was reportedly alone and had been for at least two hours. Fredericksburg.com also reports that when police found her, the girl was strapped into a car seat.
Drug paraphernalia was found near the bed as well. Her mother, 34-year-old Christine Clark, faces multiple charges, including child abuse. The infant has been taken into protective custody.
