November 28, 2012 - 03:27 pm
An argument between two employees at a Ballston cafe literally became heated when one threw a pot of boiling water on the other, causing second-degree burns to his face, back and chest, according to police.
Police say the victim grabbed a knife in self-defense, but another co-worker broke up the fight.
James Muse, 55, was placed in handcuffs. Charges are pending against him.
It happened around 7:40 a.m. Wednesday at Mary's Cafe on Wilson Blvd.
The victim was taken to MedStar for treatment. He is expected to be released today.
