Laurel grocery store shooting leaves security guard shot, suspects at-large
November 30, 2012 - 04:44 am
Investigators are looking for two gunmen who shot a security guard at a grocery store in Laurel.
About 8 p.m. Thursday, Prince George’s County police say two suspects walked into the Bottom Dollar Food on Laurel-Bowie Road, exchanged words with the guard, took his gun, and then shot him. The suspects ran away.
The guard was transported to a local hospital in serious condition, but he is expected to survive, police say.
It’s not clear what led to the shooting, or if the guard was shot with his own gun.
Detectives are interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance video. The investigation is ongoing.
