Local company organizes day of service to honor, help veterans
It’s been a weekend full of events to honor America’s veterans and a local company is keeping the Veterans Day celebration going Monday with its annual day of service.
Accenture is lending its financial support and employee volunteers for a day of service to honor the men and women who serve and have served our country.
The day of service will involve approximately 1,500 employees helping more than 30 nonprofit organizations at nearly 40 project sites across the D.C. region.
Accenture has also pledged to equip 250,000 people around the world with the skills to get a job or build a business by 2015.
Accenture’s Managing Director Stu Solomon appeared on ABC7’s Good Morning Washington to talk about the effort.
