Metro escapes Sandy damage, but not storm costs, report says
Metro made it through Superstorm Sandy without any significant damage, but the storm will have an impact on the transit agency’s bottom line.
The 28-hour shutdown last Monday and Tuesday could end up costing Metro millions of dollars, but the exact total is still unknown.
Much of the money was spent on salaries and overtime.
Metro officials tell The Examiner they will pursue any emergency finds they can to recoup the cost.
