Michael Golden arrested in Jessup drug raid
A Maryland gang member was arrested in connection with a drug bust that resulted in the seizure of 159 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, money and a three-foot alligator, police say.
Anne Arundel County Police say 32-year-old Michael Golden, of Jessup, is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of CDS marijuana. Additional charges are pending.
During a search at Golden’s home, officers seized $3,180 worth of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, $792 in U.S. currency and other unknown substances that are being analyzed at the county’s crime lab. An American Alligator was also found at the home.
The animal, which police say was in good health, has been transported to a facility for exotic animals.
Police say Golden is an associate of the Dead Man Inc. street gang.
