Oscar Mauricio Cornejo-Pena pleads guilty to Dupont Circle assaults

A District man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting several women last summer in the Dupont Circle area.
Oscar Mauricio Cornejo-Pena, 31, admits he grabbed women as he rode by them on his bicycle. Four incidents were reported from August 6 through August 10. Surveillance video tied Cornejo-Pena to two attacks on Connecticut Ave.
All assaults happened during the day.
Cornejo-Pena will be sentenced next week on four counts of misdemeanor sexual abuse. Each charge carries a maximum of 180 days in jail.
