James Gullo fatally struck by VRE train in Prince William County

James Gullo, 44, was fatally struck by a VRE train in Prince William County Monday, police say.
Just after 7 p.m.., VRE officials alerted passengers that someone had been struck in the area of Cherry Hill Road. Investigators say Gullo was standing on the tracks and did not move as the train approached.
Train 311 was stopped due to the incident while train 313 was held at Woodbridge.
VRE sent buses to pick up stranded passengers on train 313. Just before 10 p.m., train 313 was allowed to pull alongside 311 to pick those passengers up.
