Robert Rennie Jr. charged for soliciting students online
An Aldie, Va. man is behind bars for allegedly sexually soliciting middle school students on Facebook.
Police say Robert Rennie Jr. went by the alias “Kyle Kirts” on the social media site and requested to be friends with several young students. One student was sexually solicited after they accepted a friend request thinking “Kyle Kirts” was a fellow school peer.
Police say Rennie primarily contacted students at Lunsford and Mercer middle schools, but he also accessed friends of the victims from their Facebook accounts and may have contacted students at other area schools.
Through investigation it was determined the Facebook account was fictitious. Police say Rennie mostly pried on young girls and during chats would ask them to move to a Skype account for sexual reasons.
Rennie is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
