Man stabbed, child assaulted during St. Mary's County home invasion
Detectives in St. Mary's County are still trying to locate suspects in a brutal home invasion last month that resulted in the stabbing of a man and the assault of a special needs child.
St. Mary's County authorities say that the incident happened Oct. 10 inside a home on Village court in Great Mills. Officials say that a group of men forced themselves into the house and tried to rob the occupants, which included a man, a woman and a special needs child.
During a struggle between the man and one of the suspect, the male victim was stabbed several times and severely injured. The child was assaulted during the home invasion; the young victim's condition was not indicated.
Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call authorities at (301) 475-4200 x9119 or to contact Crime Solvers.
