A 46-year-old woman reports that a man tried to kidnap her while she was walking her dog Saturday morning in Woodbridge.

The suspect tried to take the woman in a lot near the rear of the Roadway Inn in the 13000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at about 8:30 a.m.

The woman told police the man grabbed her shoulder but she was able to get away from him.
