Upper Marlboro bus crash: Students have minor injuries

Students from Barack Obama Elementary School escaped with minor bumps and bruises after their a pick-up truck rear-ended their bus Wednesday.
One child was sent to the hospital with a knee injury following the 2:45 p.m. crash on Route 301 near Marlboro Road. The driver of the pick-up was taken to a trauma center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
All 32 kids on board were evaluated. The driver of the school bus was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The crash closed the southbound lanes of Route 301 for about 90 minutes.
