Vickie Jenkins wins $1M in Powerball
November 26, 2012 - 02:23 pm
The Powerball jackpot grew to about $425 million after a Culpeper woman won $1 million Saturday.
Vickie Jenkins says having the winning ticket was a stroke of luck. Mosby Meadow Market in Culpeper will get $10,000 from the Virginia Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
Besides being the largest Powerball jackpot ever, the estimated $425 million is the second largest jackpot ever in America – behind the $656 Mega Millions jackpot in March.
Odds of winning are 1 in 175 million.
