November 14, 2012 - 04:35 pm
A 27-year-old man died Sunday after he was in a vehicle crash in Indian Head. Another person riding in the vehicle was also ejected from the vehicle.
Police say Wallace Maddox of Lexington Park, the passenger in the vehicle, and another person were fleeing in a vehicle from a parking lot at the American Legion in the 4300 block of Livingston Road.
The 23-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle and struck an embankment police say. Maddox and the driver were thrown from the vehicle.
A police officer pursuing the vehicle struck one of the victims, who was laying in the road.
Maddox was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
