Woman in custody commits suicide at D.C. Third District police station

D.C. police have confirmed that a woman in police custody committed suicide at the Third District police station Friday night.

A police spokesperson says Ukalie Boyd, 42, was pronounced dead at 8:42 p.m. at a local hospital.

The Third District police station is located at 1620 V Street between 16th Street and 17th Street.

The internal affairs division is investigating.
