A Waldorf man has been charged in connection with the shooting death of Michael Milstead. His body was found in the trunk of a car on July 15 on Piney Church Road.

Police believe an ongoing argument between Bruce Lyles and Milstead led to the shooting. Lyles is currently behind bars in Charles County on unrelated charges.

The 27-year-old now faces first and second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, assault, and arson charges.
