Dylan Grey charged as adult in Frederick shooting
A 17-year-old boy will be charged as an adult after he allegedly shot another teen in the chest Wednesday night.
Frederick police identified the suspect as Dylan Grey of the 400 block of Hilcrest Drive in Frederick.
According to police, officers were called to the block Grey lives on for reports of a shooting. The victim, a teenage boy, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center; he is listed in serious but stable condition.
Investigators say the victim went to a home on the block and was involved in an altercation. During the argument, the suspect pulled out a gun and threatened the victim, eventually shooting him in the chest.
Grey is charged with first degree assault, reckless endangerment, handgun on person and use of handgun in commission of violent crime.
