FBI raids Rossyln University of Management and Technology offices
The FBI raided at least two locations in the Rosslyn area Wednesday morning, but has so far not stated publicly why they were raided.
The website reports that the FBI raided an office at 1901 Ft. Myer Drive as well as a townhouse in Arlington.
The locations are connected to University of Management and Technology.
According to the university’s website, the the school has awarded more than 6,000 degrees. It advertises itself as “military-friendly” and accepts military personnel using the GI Bill. It also accepts foreign and international exchange students.
Though it’s been around for about 10 years, ABC7 was hard pressed to find anyone in the building who knew about it.
The university offers online classes, obtaining its accreditation from the Distance Education and Training Council. DETC director Michael Lambert tells ABC7 the university is well respected. Its academic dean, Dr. J. Davidson Frame, lives in Arlington. His home was also raided by FBI agents, but they refuse to say what they were looking for.
No charges have been filed against Dr. Frame.
“I just called over to see if he was okay and he said yes. He says he was surprised as anyone by it and he thinks everything is alright,” says neighbor Dan Alpert.
Neighbors say Dr. Frame has lived on the private road for nearly two decades.
