Francis Maguire arrested for Marymount University stabbing
ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) - A Marymount University student has been charged with stabbing someone inside a dormitory on the campus of the Catholic school in Arlington.
Arlington County police announced Monday that 20-year-old Francis Maguire of Burke has been charged with malicious wounding. He was arrested Friday, the same day the stabbing occurred.
Police say the victim was found in a hallway with a stab wound to the abdomen and was taken to a local hospital. Police did not release additional details about the victim or what led to the attack.
Police say Maguire is likely to face charges related to alcohol and drugs. He's being held at the Arlington County jail.
