Honey Boo Boo's dad, Sugar Bear, has a Santa health scare
Today’s venture into the backwoods of the pop-culture world finds a health scare, Kristen Stewart and Ben Affleck, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Kate Middleton, many other things, and the mystery music video.
EXTREME CAUTION: But all apparently is well, per E!, “Reality TV icon Honey Boo Boo's dad Sugar Bear had a health scare Saturday night during the family's Christmas toy drive outside their home in McIntyre, Ga. The loving dad to the young star usually acts as Santa Claus for the event, donning the red and white outfit and offering his lap to willing individuals outside their home, which has been the source for a toy drop off. But a source at the scene tells E! News exclusively that paramedics were called there when the 40-year-old reported "not feeling well." http://eonli.ne/RNpkIt
CONFIRMED: Yet another fling, per the Huffington Post, “Kristen Stewart has told HuffPost Entertainment that she will indeed star opposite Ben Affleck in a comedy titled "Focus." "I can confirm that rumor," she said, referring to Internet reports that began surfacing last month. "It's a comedy. I'm really excited about it. We start shooting in April." http://huff.to/Ux97ny
KATE MIDDLETON: Of difficult times, per Us Weekly, “Just a few days after checking out of a London-area hospital, pregnant Kate Middleton has fallen ill again with another bout of acute morning sickness -- and although the Duchess does not yet require further hospitalization, husband Prince William cancelled a Sunday Dec. 9 engagement to be by her side at their Kensington Palace home.” http://usm.ag/TP4zKE
BOND: James Bond, per Entertainment Weekly, “In the box-office lull before the arrival The Hobbit next weekend, Skyfall returned to the number-one spot at the box office, becoming the first film since How to Train Your Dragon to lead the chart in its fifth week. It also became the highest grossing Sony release of all time. Not too shabby, Mr. Bond.” http://bit.ly/SYoLbA
BIG DRAW: For a good cause, per The Hollywood Reporter, “Nearly 2 billion people in more than 190 countries will get the chance to see the “12-12-12” benefit concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy, making it the most widely distributed live musical event ever, organizers said Monday.” http://bit.ly/TP6AHV
ABOUT THAT PHONE CALL: In hindsight. . .per Radar, “A sobbing Mel Greig, one of the Australian DJs whose Kate Middleton prank led to the tragic suicide of nurse Jacintha Saldanha, said learning of the woman's death "was the worst phone call I have ever had in my life. "There's not a minute that goes by that we don't think about her family and the thought that we may have played a part in that is gut-wrenching." http://rdar.co/Z4TFEw
OBIT: Just the facts, per the Chicago Tribune, “Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera died in a plane crash after the small jet she was travelling in went down in northern Mexico, her father said on Sunday. A spokesman for the state government of Nuevo Leon said investigators had found the remains of Rivera's Learjet, which disappeared from the radar 62 miles from the northern city of Monterrey at about 3:30 a.m. local time/4.30 a.m. EST.” http://trib.in/U71Jy3
FALLEN IDOL: At least across the pond, per Deadline, “Simon Cowell’s The X Factor closed its 9th season on the UK’s ITV on Sunday night with the lowest audience for a finale since 2006, according to overnight data reported by The Guardian. Declining figures this season have led to suggestions that a revamp is coming for the 10th series, the last the show has contracted with ITV.” http://bit.ly/WZnt01
SEALED WITH: A kiss, per People, “Tim McGraw and Faith Hill looked at each other, their hands on each others knees and shared a passionate kiss just after midnight Sunday morning. The moment was a long time coming – it capped off their first weekend as a Las Vegas headlining act.” http://bit.ly/XJhQYG
AND FINALLY: Today’s mystery music video. http://bit.ly/JQ1i
