Ivy City: Judge grants motion for preliminary injunction against parking lot
December 10, 2012 - 05:53 pm
A judge has granted the Ivy City neighborhood in Northeast D.C. a motion for a preliminary injunction against a charter bus parking lot.
Residents of the neighborhood oppose a plan to build a parking lot, saying more buses would have a bad effect on air quality in the area.
The city already parks hundreds of school buses and city vehicles there.
The construction will stop until a trial on the matter is held.
