Johnny Pimentel extradited to Fairfax County
The man who police say is responsible for a series of butt slashings in Fairfax County is back in the United States.
Investigators say 41-year-old Johnny Pimentel is responsible for slashing several women's buttocks in Fairfax shopping centers between February and July 2011. He was arrested in Lima, Peru last January.
He faces nine different criminal accounts, mostly malicious wounding and attempted malicious wounding charges.
Beverly Poyno, who shops in the area where the attacks occurred, remembers what is was like in the summer of 2011.
"It was scary," Poyno said.
She's glad justice caught up with him.
Poyno added, "I think it's wonderful, because he could've gotten away with it."
None of the woman were seriously injured from the attacks.
Pimentel is being held in jail right now; there's no word on when his first court appearance will take place.
