L Street bike lane: D.C. mayor to cut ribbon

WASHINGTON (AP) - A new lane for bicyclists is opening in downtown D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray is scheduled to cut the ribbon Tuesday morning on a new protected bike lane on L Street NW.
The new lane, the third in the city reserved for bicyclists, will be located on the north side of L Street between New Hampshire Avenue and 12th Street NW.
The Department of Transportation's bike team will lead a bike ride down L Street following the ribbon-cutting.
