December 13, 2012 - 05:02 am
SYKESVILLE, Md. (AP) - Maryland state prison inmates in Sykesville are taking part in a breast cancer awareness campaign.
On Thursday, they're washing 17,000 bras that were donated to an annual fundraiser run by Frederick radio station WFRE-FM.
For every bra collected, local businesses donated $1 to Frederick Memorial Hospital for women's medicine.
Maryland Correctional Enterprises picks and launders the bras for donation to women's shelters.
