Michelangelo statue unveiled at National Gallery of Art

Art lovers in D.C. will soon be able to enjoy a rare marble statue by Michelangelo. "David-Apollo" is set to be unveiled Wednesday at the National Gallery of Art by Italy's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giulio Terzi di Sant’ Agata.
The unveiling kicks off "The Year of Italian Culture" at the National Gallery of Art. The event will showcase the best of Italian arts and culture in 30 American cities, beginning in Washington.
"David-Apollo", which was created in 1530, will be on display to the public beginning Thursday. It will be here in through March.
