Prince Edward County shootings leaves two dead

FARMVILLE, Va. (AP) - Virginia State Police say two people are dead after a shooting involving Prince Edward County sheriff's deputies.
According to state police, the sheriff's office received a call about a disturbance at a home late Sunday night. When deputies arrived, they were fired upon by a person outside the home. Deputies returned fire.
State police were called in, and officers found a man dead in the yard. They found another man dead inside the home. Police say evidence indicates the person inside the home was shot before deputies arrived.
An investigation is continuing.
