The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation hosted its annual toy give away. And the kids were ecstatic.

More than 1,000 toys will be distributed to underserved youth from all over the D.C. area.

The team partnered with the Marines Toys for Tots program.

Kristian Hambrick, 6, was quick to pick out a brand new air hockey game. But 7-year-old Kennedy Brown took a bit more time.

“I don’t know yet,” he replied when asked what he would choose.

Redskins players voluntarily signed up to help kids pick out their gifts.

"Growing up I was always playing sports but I never got the chance to meet a professional athlete so I feel like it’s important that we show them who we are as people not just football players," says Redskins player Rob Jackson.

While each and every child will leave here today with a brand new toy, the Redskins tell us they hope they'll leave here with more than that; memories to last a lifetime"

For redskins defensive end Doug Worthington that memory is his dad dressing up as Santa.

"He brought a lot of toys and just something in my mind that always stocks out so hopefully for these kids it will be something they can always remember,” he says.
