Signing Santa visits with deaf, hard-of-hearing children at Fair Oaks Mall
A visit to Santa Claus is a special event for a child. But what if that child can't talk or hear?
For the first time ever, today the Fair Oaks Mall brought in a signing Santa.
Children who attend schools for the deaf were invited to come and meet the big guy and his helper.
These children anxiously awaiting Santa's arrival have never been able to to tell jolly old Saint Nick what they want for Christmas ... until today.
This Santa and his elf are making a first time appearance at the Fair Oaks Mall, visiting dozens of children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Santa and his elf are teachers of American Sign Language.
While Manny thanks Santa, the next person in line is petrified of him.
But Santa's message is the same in any language: Be a good little boy or girl.
