Teen struck by minivan in Franconia

A 16-year-old boy is in serious condition after he was struck by a car in Franconia.
Shortly before 7 p.m. Friday, police say, a red minivan was traveling south on Telegraph Road when it entered the left lane to turn onto Broadmoor Street, located in front of Hayfield Secondary School. According to investigators, the boy was in the crosswalk of the intersection when the minivan struck him.
The minivan left the scene and continued down Broadmoor Street.
Police believe the front end of the vehicle may have sustained some damage.
The teen suffered serious, but not life threatening injuries.
