Teen sexually assaulted in Woodbridge
Prince William County police say a man posing as a cable company worker sexually assaulted a teenage girl Monday afternoon.
The 15-year-old was inside her home in the 4400 block of Echo Court in Woodbridge when she heard a knock at the door just after 3 p.m. She told investigators the suspect identified himself as a cable company employee and asked for a person who did not live there. When she informed him that no person with that name lived at the home, he left.
Investigators says he returned a short time later, threatening the victim if she didn't let him into the home. Once inside, he pulled out what appeared to be a knife and forced the girl into a bedroom.
At this point he stopped speaking. Perhaps because he feared someone else might be in the home and hear, he began communicating with the victim via text.
One woman who knows the victim but declined to be identified says the man took the girl to her room where he forced her on to the bed and began the sexual assault.
Fearing for her life, the girl suddenly began to fight.
“She hit him she kicked and almost toward the end she just started screaming,” the woman says.
A series of well-directed kicks drove the man from house.
The suspect is described as a black male between 20 and 29-years-old with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, red shirt, black pants and black dress shoes.
