Police have identified a third suspect in an armed carjacking in Manassas.
They're on the lookout for 20-year-old Antoine McIver. He's described as a black man with a lazy right eye and a tear drop tattoo under his left eye. A $1,000 reward is offered for information that leads to McIver's arrest.
A group of young preteens and teenagers were arrested and charged Wednesday night for their alleged roles in the carjacking.
Prince William County Police officials have charged four people - three boys aged 12, 13 and 17 and a 13-year-old girl - in connection to the crime, which happened outside a home in the 7900 block of Community Drive at about 9:15 Wednesday night.
At that time, the victims, a 41-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, told police that three suspects approached their car, pulled out what appeared to be handguns, and forced them out of the vehicle.
Two of the suspects then got into the car and fled, while the third got away on foot. Neither of the victims were injured.
Just over an hour later, officers found the stolen car with seven people inside at a McDonald's on Portsmouth Road, but as authorities approached the vehicle, four of them fled while three remained inside. The car then lurched forward in the drive position and struck a concrete pillar.
The three people inside the van were found to not be a part of the carjacking, but a 17-year-old boy who fled and was allegedly part of the crime was quickly caught and apprehended.
Upon further investigation, three other suspects were tracked to a home on Albemarle Drive and taken into custody.
Those arrested included a 12-year-old Manassas boy and a 14-year-old boy from Sterling. Officials say that the two who got away with the stolen vehicle drove to Manassas Mall where they picked up the 13-year-old girl, who subsequently drove the group to the McDonalds where they were caught.
The weapons used during the initial carjacking were determined to be stolen BB guns, authorities said.
The 12 and 14-year-old suspects were both charged with carjacking and use of a firearm, while the 17-year-old was charged with receiving stolen property. The 13-year-old girl was charged with receiving stolen property, destruction of property and reckless driving.
