Tires slashed in Laurel parking lots
Close to 20 car owners in Laurel will have to replace their tires after they were slashed in two public parking lots.
The vandals have some drivers worried their cars will be next.
Police are investigating 17 tire slashing incidents. Eleven of the slashing happened outside the Laurel Station Bar and Grill.
But victims in Laurel are not alone.
Last week, 64 cars in the Dulles Greene Apartment Complex in Herndon had their tires slashed.
Police in both jurisdictions are investigating surveillance footage captured during the crimes.
Laurel police do have a person of interest in custody on an outstanding warrant, but no charges have been filed in the tire slashing case.
