WASHINGTON (AP) - Citing a lack of tickets and her desire to get more for her constituents, D.C. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton says she's postponing her Inauguration ticket lottery to Monday.

Eleanor Holmes Norton, the city's representative, says she will hold the lottery on Monday at noon in her office, rather than Friday at 4 p.m. Norton's office received more than 3,500 requests for tickets to the Jan. 21 inauguration. However, she has fewer than 200 tickets to distribute.

Norton's office says members of the National Guard will help her select the winners of the lottery in a random drawing. Winners will be notified by phone.

Residents who want to watch the inauguration ceremony from the National Mall don't need a ticket, but those who want to be closer, on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol, do need a ticket.
