270 southbound accident: Lanes now open, delays remain

All 270 southbound lanes have been re-opened, but delays remain for around 6.5 miles.
The accident previously had caused all main southbound lanes of 270 at Shady Grove to be shut down.
The Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service said that there was one confirmed fatality--the adult female driver.
Maryland State Police say this occurred at approximately 5:15 AM. The accident was a single vehicle accident into a concrete barrier. The female driver is not being identified at this time pending notification of next of kin.
