ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) - Volunteers will be helping collect more than 100,000 wreaths that were placed on gravesites at Arlington National Cemetery over the holidays.
The volunteer cleanup will run Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The public is welcome to help.
Volunteers will be briefed on the cleanup plan at 8:45 a.m. at the Memorial Amphitheater in the cemetery.
Officials suggest volunteers wear gloves, comfortable shoes and bring something that can be used to hold multiple wreaths, like a broom handle.
