Ballou High School in 2013 inaugural parade
January 21, 2013 - 05:49 pm
The lone D.C. entry in the inaugural parade was Ballou High School from southeast - and the day got started early 6 a.m. breakfast at the Alabama Avenue IHOP paid for by excited Ballou alumni.
At Ballou High, they went over the song and got their uniforms in order. It was with lots of anticipation that they finished up and headed to the buses. Hours later, they made it to the destination: Pennsylvania Avenue and a parade.
For any school it's special to be in an inaugural parade. For Ballou, they’ve done it twice.
