Bruno Michael Tucci charged with sex offense and child abuse

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) - Ocean City Police say a former Pennsylvania priest has been charged with sexually abusing a male child at a resort motel in 1981.

Seventy-year-old Bruno Michael Tucci of Salisbury was charged last month with fourth-degree sex offense and child abuse: custodian. Police announced the charges on Wednesday.

Officers say the now-grown man reported the alleged abuse in November.

Police say Tucci was priest in Allentown, Pa., from 1971 to 2007. A spokesman for the Allentown Diocese tells WBAL Radio that Tucci was removed from ministry in 2002 because of past allegations of abuse of minor. Tucci was defrocked in 2007.
