Facebook lawsuit settlement worth $20 million, or about $10 per user

Emails detailing a $20 million lawsuit settlement by Facebook over the use of user photos in sponsored stories continue to land in people's inboxes, according to multiple reports.
However, if too many people file claims, no one will get paid.
According to Geekosystem, Facebook users who may be a party to the class-action suit, which was settled in December, may be able to claim $10 as part of the suit. However, according to the email, if too many people make claims, payouts could become "economically infeasible."
In that event, the settlement details that the payment will be made to a series of non-profit organizations.
