The fire broke out at about 3:25 a.m. in home in the 3100 block of Manor Road, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue officials say. The house was completely engulfed in flames when first responders arrived.
It took firefighters about 30 minutes to knock down the flames, and upon a first inspection of the house, the body of the first victim was found. A secondary sweep led to the discovery of a second victim, along with a dog and cat that also died.
Neighbors believe that the occupants of the home may have been hearing impaired.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
