Four pedestrians hit, seriously injured in Anne Arundel County
Four pedestrians, 16-20 years of age, were hit and seriously injured by a vehicle in the area of Quarterfield Road in Anne Arundel County Thursday evening, police say.
At least two of the victims have life-threatening injuries, police say. All four were taken to area medical centers.
Two 16-year-old males, one 20-year-old male, and one 19-year-old female were hit as they were crossing Quarterfield Road at or near an entrance ramp for 100 East about 5:30 p.m., according to Anne Arundel County Police and a spokesperson for Anne Arundel Fire Department.
The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene as first responders arrived.
