Glenadren body shop slaying investigated
Prince George’s County Police are looking for the vehicle of a man found shot to death in his auto body shop Monday afternoon.
Officer were called to the V-W Auto Body Shop, located in the 8500 block Rainswood Drive, around 1 p.m.
Inside, police say they found the shop's owner, 48-year-old Keith Massaton of Upper Marlboro, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives believe his 2004 black Audi A6, which has dark tinted windows and Maryland tags 01524CE, was taken during the crime.
The Rainswood Industrial Center is busy; vehicles come and go frequently. Some in the area wonder how someone could be shot and no one hear anything.
Greg Prather, the owner of another automotive shop, said, "It's always quiet back here that's why it's so shocking. You know, nothing like this every happened before."
A young woman who identified herself as the victim's daughter said investigators told her very little.
Meanwhile, there is fear among those who work in the industrial park.
"It's disturbing. It makes you think, you know, security wise a little bit more," Prather added.
