Hannah Storm returns from burns for ABC's Rose Parade
Today’s excursion into the pop-culture world finds a tough Hannah Storm, Bruce Springsteen being feted, Kim Kardashian, many other things, and the mystery music video.
SHE’S BACK: With a wig, no less, per The Hollywood Reporter, “Hannah Storm returned to TV on Tuesday morning after spending the better part of the last month on the mend for burns she suffered when a propane tank exploded at her Connecticut home. The 50-year-old ESPN anchor, who's been sitting at the SportsCenter desk since 2008, made her first public appearance co-hosting ABC's coverage of the 2013 Rose Parade on New Year's Day. THE BOSS: Now this is pretty cool, per the New York Times, “Elton John, Neil Young and the folk-rock band Mumford & Sons will be among more than a dozen acts who will celebrate the music of Bruce Springsteen at the MusiCares benefit concert in Los Angeles next month, the Recording Academy announced on Wednesday. ON THE ROAD AGAIN: After a difficult stretch, per Rolling Stone, “Green Day have rescheduled their canceled 2012 tour dates and postponed 2013 shows and will be kicking off a tour on March 28th at Chicago's Allstate Arena. "We want to thank everyone for hanging in with us for the last few months," the band said in a release. "We are very excited to hit the road and see all of you again, though we regret having to cancel more shows."
