Jeremiah Pearson accused of firing at Prince George's County officers
January 28, 2013 - 04:20 pm
A Forestville man is accused of shooting at police while they executed a search warrant at his home Monday.
Police say Jeremiah Pearson, 25, fired at Prince George's County officers as they forced their way through a heavy steel door around 5 a.m. Luckily, Pearson missed and shot the door.
Police believe Pearson's gun then jammed, preventing him from firing more rounds. He then ran to the rear of the home and threw the gun out the window.
Officers removed a .22 caliber handgun, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia from the home.
Pearson faces several attempted murder charges.
