Kensington water main break leads to lane closures
Two southbound lanes of Connecticut Avenue remain closed between Knowles Avenue and Saul Road in Kensington, Maryland, due to repairs to the road following a water main break Monday.
The far left lane is open to traffic. WSSC, in coordination with the Maryland State Highway Administration, will restore and reopen the entire section of the roadway as soon as possible.
WSSC crews repaired a broken 78-year old, 8-inch water main at the 9800 block of Connecticut Avenue Monday evening. Water has been restored to the 18 residential customers who lost service due to the water main break.
