January 13, 2013 - 08:05 am
A man taken into custody following a police chase has been charged with murder.
Leon Antauwn Wynn, 43, admits to police he strangled Jamal Rami Martin to death in Suitland. Police were called to the home in the 2200 block of Wyngate Road just before 7 a.m. Friday for a report of a fight. Martin was found dead when officers got on scene.
A chase with Wynn resulted in his arrest on unrelated charges in Northeast Washington. That’s when he admitted to killing Martin. He says they knew each other through family.
Wynn was charged with second-degree murder. He will be extradited to Prince George’s County.
