Malfunctioning E-ZPass takes toll on woman's wallet
January 24, 2013 - 07:12 pm
The 495 express lanes are open, and with an E-ZPass, most drivers are good to go. But one women emailed 7 On your Side after she discovered her E-ZPass wasn't working, which meant big fees for driving in the hot lanes.
Marta Steane was charged $61 for three days worth of trips on the hot lanes. The charges were a combination of tolls and fees the company that runs the hot lanes refused to waive.
ABC7's Kris Van Cleave looked into the charges that left Steane hot under the collar.
