Metrobus stabbing: Man stabbed on 92 bus
Police say a man was stabbed on a Metrobus when he tried to steal another man's phone.
It happened around 11 a.m. Sunday on 8th Street near East Capitol Street, NE.
Police say a man was sleeping on the 92 bus heading toward the Duke Ellington bridge when another man tried to take his phone. The man awoke and started fighting with the c, stabbing him in the side.
The attempted-robbery victim fled and the would-be thief was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say he could be charged with attempted robbery.
Police are looking through bus surveillance video to determine what happened. They are searching for the man who reportedly foiled the robbery and stabbed the would-be thief.
