Michael O'Connor arrested, charged in alleged DUI crash

A College Park man was arrested Wednesday on charges that he hit and killed a man with his car while under the influence there last June.

Prince George's County Sheriff's officials have charged Michael O'Connor with vehicular manslaughter, DUI, reckless and negligent driving and vehicular homicide in connection with the June 24 crash that killed Bernard Coatley Jr.

Authorities say that Coatley was trying to make a left turn off of Delaware Street in College Park when he was struck by a car driven O'Connor, who was allegedly under the influence at the time of the incident.
