Parking rates increase, Silver Spring and Bethesda
January 2, 2013 - 08:00 am
It will now cost you more to park at public garages in Silver Spring and North Bethesda.
Short term parking has gone up from 75-cents to a dollar an hour. Long-term parking went from 60 to 65-cents an hour.
Monthly parking permits rose by $10. Officials say the extra revenue will be used to fill a budget deficit.
