Pedestrians struck in Germantown, Gaithersburg
Three pedestrians were struck and severely injured in Montgomery County Monday night.
The first happened around 6:30 p.m. on Wisteria Drive just north of Route 118 in Germantown. Police say a man was struck while crossing in the northbound lanesoutside the crosswalk. They believe he is Hispanic and in his thirties. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the vehicle, 51-year-old Ousmane Seydi of Germantown, stayed on scene.
The second accident happened about two hours later in Gaithersburg. Police say a man and woman were struck in the southbound lane of Rt. 355 between Oneill and Shady Grove roads. The man went through the windshield and had to be extricated. Both were taken to trauma centers in serious condition.
